Construction Cost & Quotations: Naturally one of the first questions any builder in Thailand gets asked, is how much does a house cost to build, or what is the construction cost in Bangkok ? A question that is not as simple as it seems and there is no one answer for this. Construction costs vary anywhere in the world and this is the same in Bangkok. Costs must be calculated according to the individual project, the specifications, the materials chosen, site conditions and final inspection/analysis of the professional architects drawings. Each project is different as they use different quantities of materials, different suppliers, varying types of materials and products. So it is very important to have the costs calculated correctly and accurately. A professional quotation takes approximately 2-4 weeks depending on the size of the project. At the end of the process, you will have full professional sets of construction drawings, signed off by the licensed Thai architect and licensed Thai engineer. They will include master plans, floor plans, elevations, perspectives, architectural, engineering, structural, mechanical, sanitary/plumbing and electrical. Time To Build: We are often asked how long it takes to build a house in Thailand, or how long a construction project takes to complete ? This depends on the specific project, size, complexity, site conditions, scope of works and during what season the project starts. If a project starts close to the rainy season this can set back time, due to the weather conditions. So choosing the right time to start is important. On average a small to medium size home in Bangkok can be built in 8-9 months and a large luxury home can take 12-18 months. Most take 12 months. However this is an approximation. When we provide you the quotation and know more about your project, we can then give you a time schedule of expected completion. The same goes for factories or other types of construction projects. We can give you the expected time scales once we know more.
